Can businesses ask Yelp to remove bad reviews? - Red Crayon Aristocrat - 04-27-2014 11:55 PM

A couple of months ago I left a bad review for a hair salon, on Yelp. I went to Yelp today, and found that my review was removed! I didn't have any curse words or any foul language in my review, at all. I just wrote about the bad experiance that I had.

Can businesses have bad reviews removed?

No, they can't. Yelp itself censors reviews from users with just a few reviews and reviews their automated software flags as "fake". They do this to coerce you into using the site more frequently. Yelp says that the more you review, the more your reviews will stay out of the censored section.

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the light grey link that says "# other reviews that are not currently recommended". That's where your review is.

Yelp is a corrupt, evil, disgusting company that is completely worthless and untrustworthy. I avoid it altogether.
