Which type of back links to disavow for Google new seo rules? - al x - 04-28-2014 12:40 AM

Any ideas which back links are best to disavow for a website in regards to googles latest seo rules. I've heard that some back links can now harm sites that may have been beneficial in the past.

Thanks

Of course links from bad neighborhoods of scammy sites.

Paid blog networks that have been exposed.

Too many links with the same keyword anchor text, some limit total anchor text links to 15%.

Generally links that have never provided you traffic may also provide minimal ranking benefit.

I know in a webinar by he maker of a big link automation tool senuke, he advised making links that are removable later, in some cases linking to intermediate pages that 301 redirect to the real target page. Inner links can always be shed by renaming a page URL, links to the home page are more difficult to disconnect, it may be best to only link there from cold standard sources.

I want to add some more points in jake's answer:

Website overloaded with many advertisements (also adult advertisements).

Website that doesn't come into your niche.

Website didn't crawled by google for last 6 or above months.
