Facebook and other websites "following" me? - Existential Blues - 04-28-2014 01:09 AM

I've noticed that Facebook, Amazon.com, Myspace, and other websites advertise things I've recently looked up outside of their websites. How do they know what I've been looking up? Isn't this illegal???

They have monitors that watch your every move, you better not answer the door the next time it rings or there is a knock at it.

unfortunately this is not illegal and they do it thru the use of cookies so every time you goto a website it adds a cookie and then when you go back to facebook or myspace they check to see what cookies are there and advertise accordingly. They get paid each time you click on a link so it's better for them if they put stuff on their sites that you might want to click and see.
