Guys could you please me the truth about SEO?HELP? - Jared - 04-28-2014 01:17 AM

When I was searching online one webmaster said that. If you have good content google will find it eventually and put you in the number 1 page.

I'm not that experienced online.. although I've been doing this for like a year I have more to learn.
Although there is some truth to it since 1 of my blog became number in google without me optimizing it.

Should I SEO my blog/s or is it true that.. I can just sit back and relax let google handle my website.. cause it has already good content? What?!? Confused here

SEO is good for correctly identifying your website and properly associating it with incoming searches. The optimization process is painless, and it can draw traffic from searches that are general, but not specific to your site topic. It also speeds traffic direction to you, thus building page hits faster.

It is not vital, but it can help without incurring additional costs.

Its true content is king. But without backlinks (relevant backlinks) its very hard to get rank. So my suggest quality content + relevant backlinks would definately work.

It's true that content is very relevant, but you can't just sit back and relax and relax and expect that when you wake up in the morning your site ranks good in google. You need to go through keyword research and stuff..

First off, congratulations for ranking well without doing too much other than producing quality content. That is definitely a major component of any SEO plan. Optimizing a blog is a little different than optimizing a website, but it can't hurt you to go in and incorporate keywords into the blog posts and headlines to help maintain that good ranking. If you comment on other blogs, make sure you include a link (when possible) that points back to your own blog. This will help build trust with the search engines and direct more traffic to your blog.
