I want to do a three way video call with my friends and my friend said Skype Premium is free while my other friend said you need to pay. Is it free or do I need to pay for it?

Sadly, Skype Premium is NOT free (<> $ 108 / year).
And, you already learned that Microsoft removed the Conference Call feature from the free version of Skype.
So, install the Google Chrome Web Browser App on your PC, Tablet, or Smart phone, and then under "Apps" in Google Chrome, use the free Hangouts App to call up to 10 Hangouts Users for free (or get it from the Store APP). This App could be the one to kill Skype, if Microsoft keeps chopping Skype to bits.
