I'm talking to this guy on iMessage and Twitter DM and I'm confused if he is interested in me or he needs something off me, because one time when we talked he just asked something from me. Thank you!
I kind of like him but I can't flirt yet because I'm not sure if he's interested in me. I don't want to look like a fool.
He sometimes text me first, I'm just that not sure if he textes me because he needs something or he really wants to talk to me.

You sound like you like him and you also sound a bit paranoid...
Just go with the flow and relax, try not to conclude on anything you not sure of. And if something is not clear for you, please ask him, no matter what it is, rather than assuming

it depends on what hes asking for do you like him or do you want him to like you it sounds like you like him it would be ok for you to just kinda hint around about if he likes you also you can just ask him straight out or you will never know good luck to
