I got my voucher in Rhode Island, but can I use it in any state since it's government issued? I want to move to Florida.

Yes, theoretically it is good all over the U.S. and its territories like Virgin Island, Puerto Rico and Guam. You have to talk to the case worker and get a portable voucher to go to Florida. When you arrive you have 90 days to find a place. Your current caseworker at Housing has to know which county so she can check to see if they will accept the voucher in Florida.
