Is the 4th Page a Good Ranking For My Website? - Oscar - 04-28-2014 02:59 AM

I started a website 18 days ago for a towing business. I have been placing it everywhere on the web. It's on page 4 on some search engines-page 5 on others. Is this a good ranking after having the website online only after 18 days? Will my page move any higher or stay the same or drop? I will keep advertising it on different sites to keep it out there-active.

Sounds quite good to me. (Better than mine I think), it all depends on how much competition there is for the keywords you are using. If you're the only towing business in XYZ State then you would assume that you should be shown high up, but if there's 1000's of towing business in XYZ State then it will be more difficult to be placed highly for example. Content is really the key to success. Make your content appropriate to keywords, helpful and unique, then providing useful (regularly updated) content will surely ensure a good rank in google, as that's google's main aim, to give content that the user is looking for.

In most cases you can identify your real rankings after 30+ days...this is cause the major search engines "test" a new website in the first 20-30 days to check it's authority...

Since your website is new , has no authority at all....so, sorry to inform you but the most possible scenario is for your website to drop lower....

There are many ways for you to increase your websites authority though...

Keep up the good work.
