I know I can tweet to only one person with a direct message. But let's say I want to send a tweet to only 5 out of my 25 followers ? How do you do this ?

You couldn't, unless you blocked the 20 work colleagues.
Unless you said! "@VivaLaFrankee @Username @Username @Username @Username TEXT"
Everyone would see it but it would be directed to them.
