Doe's anyone know what the APP/Script is called that is used for Mafia Wars (and quite a few others on Facebook)?
I've seen this exact same style game more then 100 times all over the web (not the mention Facebook alone), and I love them...
I'm certain they have the same back-end, only the images and layouts are modded (along with the text), but you know what I mean.
I would love to setup my own server for some of my friends around the country. Setup a custom game which we can play together privately.

I think its a mixture of Javascript(incorporating Ajax) and PHP with an SQL database. The reason you see familiarity between the apps is because quite a lot of the games on facebook are developed by a company callled Zynga. They develop Mafia Wars, Vampire wars, Farmville, Cafe world and more.
