Can I make a website take down a promotional video that I agreed to be part of? - Matt - 04-28-2014 03:13 AM

I worked for an organization for quite a while. About 3 years ago, I was part of a promotional video that is posted on their site, encouraging people to get involved with the organization. I have since parted ways with the company and no longer want my image or words being used to promote them. Can I force them to take it down?

You cant because you had already agreed to be apart of it. They can only take it down if they want to.

Yes. Write a letter asking them to take it down and send it by certified mail. If they don't remove it, have a lawyer write a letter asking them to take it down. Legally they may not have to take it down depending on what you signed, but if you're willing to spend some money on an attorney to hassle them, they might take it down just to make the headache go away. Be professional about it, don't give them any reason to sue you.
