I just asked this question but people dont understand and are rude. I have a droid with no built in wifi or whatever iphones have. 98% of my apps dont need an internet connection, so its a reasonable question if snapchat needs internet or not. Why does it anyways?

It need internet connection because Snapchat post pictures,comments etc. to other people wireless. Get a Data Plan if you want to use it.

Absolutely, snapchat needs to transfer data to and from the internet, its purpose is to share and socialize, just like facebook and twitter, etc. Yes it needs internet.
