On my Windows 7 task bar on the bottom right sector, over the internet connection symbol, there is this small 'X' symbol, it is directly over the connection status bar and apparently all the bars of internet connectivity are depleted...I have a connection that works on the laptop but for some reason this symbol appears. What does it mean?

It's just a glitch... Sometimes my internet status shows as a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle, but my internet is working fine.

Right click the marker and open the action center,turn of the marker from there.
