How do you make a Facebook post linking to your website have a thumbnail image? - pelican - 10-15-2012 09:11 PM

I have a web page with an image on it. But when I copy and paste the url into the share box on facebook, I don't get a thumbnail

You copy and paste the absolute path to the image on the Facebook post. So where it says: "What's on your mind..." you'd put something like:

<img src="http://www.yourwebsite.com/images/image.jpg" alt=""/>

When posting on FB, you do NOT use HTML coding. Just paste the URL to the image with no HTML code tags. The same for the link to your website.
