Paying for an item on ebay? 10 easy points!? - Amanda - 04-28-2014 04:06 AM

I know that you have to be 18 to use a paypal account, but is it possible to pay for an item with a young persons Barclays account? I'm 16 and this is my only way to pay for it.

If the amount isn't much, get a money order & send it. It's very easy to get one & you don't have to be older than 18. That is unless the seller says otherwise. Email them before you commit to buy.

Sorry you have to be 18, no way around

No. Sellers do not accept payments directly from bank accounts - you need to go through paypal. eBay's minimum age is also 18 anyway, so you'll need to get an adult to buy this item for you

Guess what? Children are prohibited from using eBay too! That means you shouldn't have anything to pay for on that site.

Ignore the other person's advice to send a money order: eBay sellers are prohibited from accepting money orders, and they would have to be stupid to do so since money orders are easily and frequently forged.

Children CANNOT USE EBAY.
