Can ebay sellers know the address of bidders when they havent pay for items? - Liu - 04-28-2014 04:31 AM

I placed a bid for an item but after that I found I don't like it because the picture and the description are not matching. I sent a massage to the seller and tell him that I don't want to buy it any more and ask him to cancel my bid, but he never reply me. Now I just want to know if he can know my address or other details of my ebay account? (just for security)

I know its my wrong but as a seller he has to solve any problem instead of escaping.

I think so. It's in his best interest to cancel the sale if you can legitimately (but do it respectfully) illustrate that you realize the picture did not match the description. Tell them you prefer to amicably part ways without involving eBay. That's code for "I can open a case on you."

If not, you have to buy it. So buy it and then open a case on them. Sellers don't get the money for WEEKS after a sale so they are not able to steal from buyers anymore.

Be careful next time. Good luck.
