Internet isn't loading on my laptop? - Allison - 04-28-2014 04:42 AM
I can log into my computer just fine, but when I try to log onto the internet, the page doesn't load. My homepage is google, and it starts to load the page but it stops when the tab says "waiting for google.com". It stays this way pretty much forever. I've even tried leaving it like this overnight and it doesn't change. The only way to stop it is to close out of the internet.
I've tried many things:
-Turning off my wifi and turning it back on
-Using all of the browsers on my computer, including internet explorer, google chrome, and firefox
-Restarting my computer
If any of this matters:
-I have a Toshiba laptop with windows 8
-I had the same problem a few months ago, but I was able to fix it by simply turning off and restarting the wifi
-My laptop is fairly new; I bought it a little over a year

Go to your wifi settings, delete all the info on your current connection, make a new connection to the same network.

could be a problem with your wifi card. Try right clicking the wifi button, then click troubleshoot wifi problems. Then follow the on screen instructions.
