Hello, I don't understand with facebook messenger app. It says my friend invited me to Facebook Messenger and that I should install the app to stay connected. I don't understand because that person is not on my friends list. We had an arguement. Does that mean he still has my phone number in his/her phone?

Probably, yes. Just reply saying you don't want to go, because it will be awkward or you just don't feel like it ever since the fight.
