What would be better for my website when advertising on Facebook, per click or per impression? - Cheeseburger in paradise! - 10-15-2012 09:13 PM

My website is based on rating your college's party scene (including all 4 year institutions in the USA). What would be best for advertising this to Facebook; per click or per impression? Facebook is obviously the logical choice for advertising, as this is where all college students go! I am leaning more toward per click, as the brand will get out there on pages and more people will see the name at least. We have not yet started to market this site really at all. Any thoughts or opinions?

CPC all the way. Impressions don't mean anything and having someone "see" your brand name won't translate to market share.

I'd recommend starting small and really targeting users though, you can start with one geographic area on Facebook, then setup the age range to hit college kids. Then put in words like "party" and "partying" for Likes and Activities and you're golden.
