Are links from .edu and .gov blogs good for SEO? OR is it better if the links come directly from non-blog .edu or .gov pages?

.edu and .gov links are definitely good for SEO. Be sure, it is related to the website, it add more value. Do use Google to help you find places to get those .edu and .gov links.
