I have made a blog, and well I want to advertise it, I can't afford to pay for website advertising so how can I do it, I've tried Twitter and Facebook, but still no luck.

Social networks are the best to advertise your blog.
Create a Facebook group, invite all your friends and tell them to invite theirs. Group will grow and grow, than every once in a while send message to all group members (not too often) about recent news or so, and say thanks to everyone who is supporting you.
