Google Chrome bookmarks disappeared? - 409 - 04-28-2014 10:20 AM
So I just wiped my computer out to got rid of a rather persistent virus. It's gone now, luckily. However, now that Start-Up is done on my "new" computer, I am downloading all my old files. So I downloaded Google Chrome ... And 80% of my bookmarks are gone. All my music files saved along with MANY other things. Is there anyway to get these back or did Chrome screw me over?

The location where Google Chrome's bookmarks are stored is-
C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Local Settings\
Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default
In Default Folder, you will see 2 files named bookmark & bookmark.bak.
Try opening the "bookmark.bak" with notepad & copy paste the URLS & save them again.
