For some reason, in google chrome, when i do a google search the font size is abnormally huge! this only started occurring a few days ago, and no, my zoom is not over 100%. it is only in google chrome, as i have switched to opera for now, and there are no issues. And other web pages arent large either. Please help!

Try signing out of your google account if you're signed in. Disable any unwanted extensions.
