How much to charge to advertise on our website? - jane j - 04-28-2014 10:47 AM

We are a local car club affiliated to a national car owners club. We have just set up a website and a local garage specialising in our car make has asked to advertise on our site. We want to charge a flat rate but has anyone any idea how much should we charge. Also should we charge per month or just a one off fee per year
Just to say I am in the UK so answers relating to uk only please

Smaller blogger may charge $10 a month for a little banner, a monthly rate would probably do better than the going rate for network ad placement $0.50 to $5.00 per 1000 views.

per month will be better, because most of the CPC advertiser goes to some trusted advertisement services like google yahoo due to their reach to tons of pulisher and their due to their honesty.
if you have a good traffic then i think it will e more eneficial to ecome a add pulisher from major search engines other then becoming a small advertiser.
please specify your link so that we can give you some good advice.
thanks.

Invoice quarterly, 1/4 page in Parish magazine around here is 90-100 quid.
That seems a good starting point. Since you don't have printing/distribution maybe 50-60 a quarter.
