I'm making a website... Good Domain Names and a name for my site? - Jemima - 04-28-2014 10:51 AM

I'm creating a website with basically loads of things on it like
- downloadable wallpapers
- Recipes
- DIY stuff
- Things for kids to do
- A mini shop
- Celebrity news
- World news
- Weather
- Fashion
- Little articles
etc.
But I'm trying to think of a name for this site, any ideas?? Smile

findithere.com
uwantigot.com
lottacrap.com
everythingbutkitchensink.com
menagerie.com

Actually, I think you would do better focusing on one thing & NOT offering so much crap!!! You're offering everything but the kitchen sink.

I recommend not creating your own mini network of such diverse subjects, unless you have a staff of specialists, sites are so cheap, with many hosting accounts allowing a limitless number of separate domain names, you can separate these subjects to different, more tightly focused sites. Hodgepodge is the name that comes to mind for your universe of subjects.
You are in effect a publisher, think if you were creating a magazine what would be the theme and primary subject if it. It's easier to monitor and enhance the search ranking of a site that covers a smaller range of related subjects.

There are sites with tools that help you come up with fictitious names, including: wordlab.com, naming.net, wordoid.com, lingzini.com, namestation.com, some of these tools look up the domain name availability as you go.
Any name not already used in a .com web site name is probably not trademarked.
