Mutual attraction between a waiter and I today. He gave me an email instead of a phone number or Facebook. Is he keeping - eagerman306 - 04-28-2014 10:53 AM

A waiter and I were making chit chat today which turned into him giving me advice about how I can get a job in his country (I'm only a "tourist" right now). I didn't actually notice how cute he was until we started talking more. He gave me tons of advice on how to look for jobs, where to get documents and was super helpful. And he wasn't a jerk about trying to get me to speak English, he offered to speak in Spanish even though I'm not fluent.

There was clearly mutual attraction and a lot of eye contact, but it's one of those things where the setting isn't right. Before he left when his shift was done, he said if I needed anything else I could contact him (and he winked at me). At this point I was thinking "Facebook?.." since my smartphone was in front of me, but he wrote down his email.

I'll definitely email him, but was he just trying to be professional/not too upfront? And if you're a waiter, is this essentially nothing?
Oh yeah, he wrote down his name. We never introduced ourselves lol

Lol I think he's one of those people that don't use Facebook. So yeah that might be it and not him trying to be professional or anything.
