I recently bought skyrim today. It defaulted itself to high graphic settings but I put it on ultra. There is no lag but after a while, around 30 min, it just quits itself. Im connected to the internet and there were no lag previous or any signs of wrong data collection for it to just quit.

leave it on high, it's practically the same

Internet connection has nothing to do with the game crashing. Skyrim is a Bethesda title and they are infamous for being filled with bug, glitches, and frequent crashes. There are several PC mods that better optimize the experience and reduce crashes. I recommend SkyBoost as it has worked for me.
