I just built my pc and I don't have a NiC card. I plugged an ethernet cord from my router to my pc, and that's where I'm stuck. It doesn't come up with anything. Any help?

You need to install the Network drivers for your Mother Board. It should have came with a CD for you to be able to do it from there. If not, look up the motherboard on another PC and download the drivers on to a USB drive and put them in your new PC

You have onboard NiC. Windows should automatically install drivers for it.
So just install your OS from CD/DVD
