Local Textbook Rental Service for Students? - J - 10-15-2012 09:14 PM

Students:

If one was to initiate an online local textbook rental service , would you consider it ?

How would you market the business locally ? Flyers , Facebook , Twitter ?

The rental prices will vary according to the price of the textbook and its shipping price.

However, would you want it to be narrow just renting out a book for one subject ?

For Example: Accounting textbooks or maybe just Math textbooks?

In my opinion, being specific can help cater a certain audience. It could create a market for the supplier.

Personally I wouldn't use it just because I prefer to buy my books and then sell them back at the end of the semester. I also have to use my amazon credit card to purchase books so reting books wouldn't helP me money wise.

However, your best bet is to make a Facebook page and also put up flyers. I would suggest posting flyers around a college campus and local hangouts where college students frequent. I would also offer all kinds of textbooks and novels to reach a larger audience and create more revenue.
