Manual directory submission - SEO Advice please? - Paul - 04-28-2014 04:38 PM

have a brand new website (went live last night) and I dont know much about SEO etc. I have seen websites that say they will write an article about you website and submit it to lots of websites and directories plus build links and submit website to SEO link friendly websites... it it worth doing this? Any advice appreciated! Thanks

What is your URL?
http://www.seochat.com is always a good place to look.
Have you checked your site for WAII and WAIII standards? Is it valid HTML & CSS?
It's definately worth completing SEO tasks. A lot of sites, like Google for example actually determine their search indexes using PageRank - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank - where basically the more sites you have linking to your site, the higher up the tables it goes!
Also as you mentioned your site went live last night, Google et al can take up to 2 weeks to spider through your site. If there are no other sites linking to yours it can take even longer! Get your site out there on other sites asap! Smile

Yes it is worth it depending on how much they charge. That is only one part of SEO though. For $100 you can get personal attention, consultation, keyword research and advice for current future SEO compatible content, as well as link building.
