internet connection problem? - secret18233 - 04-28-2014 04:39 PM

So, i few days ago my computer/internet was working perfectly fine. i would go on youtube or watch movies online, and it would fully load, so i was able to continuously watch something w/o any pauses. but recently, every time im on youtube or watching movies online[ i dont dl movies], it would take a LONG time to load. everything loads perfectly fine, except videos.

I have a laptop and a PC, the PC is new, just got it a few days ago, and my laptop is virus free and i did disk clean up and everything. So do you think its an internet connection problem? how can i fix it? i dont have dial-up. i dont really know anything about computer, i just have a modem and stuff.lol. HELLLPP!!!!

You can try unplugging your DSL modem and router for a few minutes and then plugging them back in. Modem first until lights are on, then the router. This might help.

If you have 2 systems doing the same thing, it's more than likely something with the connection.

You can also try running something like CCleaner on your systems to make sure it clears out ALL the internet cache and cookies. It's free. Give it a shot.

Also, you can try taking one system off the internet, restart networking equipment, check the system still online. Does that help? If not, taking this system off the internet by unplugging connection or turning it off. Now check the other system.

If one system works with the other disconnected, the system that is disconnected could have a virus or adware/spyware (that your anti-virus doesn't detect) that is bombarding your router/modem and causing your internet connection to slow down.

Sometimes It's just the site. Sometimes videos won't load, but if you refresh the page a few times it fixes the problem. I don't know anything about laptops though. I would unplug the wires from the modem every once in a while, plug them back in and just reset it.
