so i started a website and i have ad space but i dont know what to charge...is there a going rate? ad size range from 125x125 300x250 and some larger..please help

I have seen small timers who can't make juicy traffic claims charge $10/mo for 125x125. You can find the going rates through brokers like Buyads.com or BuySellads.com, the broker gets a cut of the prices shown.

It may be best to have no ads until you are getting significant traffic, like 1000 visitors a month or more, ads can turn away some perspective readers and are not a positive search ranking factor, low traffic sites are not likely to earn significant ad money anyway, some running Adsense ads probably average 1 penny a visitor.
