I have Instagram on my iPod Touch 2G and I just recently upgraded the app to the NEWEST version. The app is supposed to be "free" and I've NEVER gotten a message that I need iOS 5 or higher to use the app.
I was searching Google today and I found this article: http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2012/04/a-guide-to-the-instagram-filters-youll-soon-be-seeing-on-facebook/255650/
It talks about Instagram filters, like Lomo-fi, Nashville, and Hefe. I don't know about Nashville but I checked my Instagram app and I am 100% sure that I do NOT have Lomo-fi or Hefe.
How do I get those filters? Are they only for iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPads that have a camera?

my has an HTC Vivid and i noticed he had more filters than i did in my iPhone 3GS, pretty sure they're what you just mentioned. sucks haha
