And your link is just to some group that mocks the Orthodox Church of Georgia and the Georgian people with lots of pictures of crappy pop singers. Police had to intervene to stop the clashes between Orthodox Parents’ Union activists and gay rights defenders. There were no reports of serious injuries. Tbilisi city authorities had sanctioned the gathering organized by nongovernmental organization Identity and gay rights defenders. Earlier on May 17, Georgian Ombudsman Georgy Tugushi called on his compatriots, the, media, and politicians to show understanding for the problems faced by sexual minorities in the country. May 17 is the International Day Against Homophobia.
