Is facebook or yahoo answers a good way to advertise or will I get in trouble?
I have tried craigslist and all I get is fake emails and stuff.

Craig's list is better. Someone might report you (it is considered spam here).

You can create Facebook pages for legitimate businesses, don't advertise on a personal page.
Ads on Yahoo Answers is a no-no certainly some spamming goes on and lots of accounts get quickly deleted.
If you only deal with people in your own city selling on Craigslist can work, there are a number of other classified ads sites as well, in the U.S. Backpages gets about 1/5 the traffic of Facebook.
