I just got an XBox 360 Slim console and as I turn it on, I'm setting up everything (what language I want, etc.) However, it's asking me for internet connection when I try to recover my gamertag. Is it possible to play games WITHOUT internet? Like just inserting the disc into the console and play it. Please help.

Nope your question is confusing how you state it. You can do campaign and things but not multiplayer

yeah you can play pretty much any game without internet the only thing you need internet for is multiplayer or updates but neither are absolutely necessary.

Well you need an internet connection to recover an account but you dont just to play games.

Yes, you can play games without an internet connection, but to recover your profile from Xbox Live, you need an internet connection. How else is the system going to download your profile from an online service?

yes you sure can! You can play all the games you want. You don't need an internet connection for anything. The only reason why you need an internet connection is to play online multiplayer games or to access additional media with the xbox.

Yes, just go to My XBOX and hit A to play the game.
Skip the internet connection step.

If you bought a down loadable game on another console, you can't play it without an internet connection. All Indie games need internet to play. If you have internet, you can get free updates to existing games.
