Should I be mad at my best friend? - Kristine - 04-28-2014 06:31 PM

Well... My best friend basically found my password for my facebook, and using that, she went on my account. She changed my profile picture and cover photo to weird yet funny pictures. I was laughing about that, I mean, I didn't mind. It was funny until she went a step further. She updated statuses saying some weird pick up lines. At this point, I was a bit uncomfortable, but I was still fine with things. Then I found the messages she sent to some of my other friends. Then I got angry. I felt like she invaded my privacy TO THE MAX. She could've read my previous messages and I felt sick and disgusted to think that she would go that far. I confronted her, and she showed some attitude to me. Then she said sorry and I said it was okay. She just said "whatever" which infuriated me even more. It basically sounded like she didn't care or mean the apology. I told her this, and she replied "Okay sorry" like WHAT. I felt like she was mad at me for no good reason and I cried ( I've been depressed before so I still cry really easily, but only when there's nobody around me). I still feel angry, but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be the one that is mad?

You are in the right to be mad

To be honest, she doesn't sound like the greatest friend in this story. Don't let her walk all over you. She should care that she's done something that upset you. You must be really young, like middle school or high school? If so, girls can be really mean during those times, usually because we're all so insecure and immature at that age. You should just be straightforward and tell her calmly why what she did upset you. Don't be angry when you tell her. If she still won't listen and doesn't seem to care, maybe you should reevaluate if she's really a good friend. Also, change your Facebook password!!
