i've got a 6 minute video, it's roughly 280MB. it says it's going to take around 118 minutes to upload. i'm thinking that's a bit long for an UPLOAD. then again, i've never really uploaded anything of this size. is something going on or is that really how long it usually takes? any way to make it go faster?

It all depends on the speed of your internet connection.

It depends on your upload speed. Mine is 350kb/s and I upload a 280MB video for about 15 minutes. You should check your internet speed here : http://www.speedtest.net/ If you aren't happy with your current speed contact your ISP.

Sometimes it depends on your computer or what ever you use and internet speed and good connection

Just like what the other answers said, your internet upload speed plays a big role in it, but it also depends on the quality of the video you're uploading.

I would say it is not normal. Well to me its not. Like most people have stated it all depends on your internet connections. The only way I could see it taking that long is if you use dial-up or you are in a bad service area. I have tried just about every internet provider in my area and it has never took me that long to upload a video!!! the last time I remember waiting that long was when I had dial-up.

Well it depends on:
Internet connection (speed)
The video format
The bitrate used in the video
And it is not normal
As you have already mentioned video duration which is 6 minutes and size 280 MB that is also normal. So why would it take such a long uploading? May be your server was busy at that time or youtube site.
What should you do if it take such a long time to upload? Stop uploading, clear internet history and cookies restart computer and try to upload once again. It must upload easily.
Note: During uploading do not open any other windows, do not run software, email, messenger etc. Just upload.

if you delete system 32 your videos will load faster because its just take up space on your computer.
