I just got a dm from Brittany Snow in 'Pitch Perfect' (Still dying btw asdfghjkl <3) But I was wondering how come can't you reply to them!? Or how can they even dm you if they're not even following you?

If you follow someone twitter then you can DM that person.
E.g; I follow Justin Bieber so he can DM me but He doesn't follow me back so I can't DM him. C:
