alright, I had windows vista on my laptop, but it was all messed up and wasnt working, I installed ubuntu as my new OS (I completely replaced vista)
I cant seem to get an internet connection, and I believe its because my internet connection button has no assignment anymore.... how can I activate it within ubuntu?

press the Internet connection button and keep pressing it until the light color changes then check you Ubuntu network settings to see what's new
