I'm wondering if there is a way to limit who can see what comments I like on Facebook? I know I can hide the pages, etc. But I'm wondering if I can prevent the whole "John Doe liked Jane Doe's post" from showing up?

no, you cannot prevent that - your likes and comments are always shared with your friends in the ticker, and there is no way to turn it off
