Is it legal to post comic strips such as garfield or DiIbert on my facebook page? - Chatsy - 10-15-2012 09:21 PM I made a page recently on facebook on comic strips and i started posting comic strips of garfield and Dilbert on my page. My frind told that it might be illlegal to do so... so i wanted to inquire about it! can anybody help? - Abbster - 10-15-2012 09:29 PM I would say you're friend is right. The only way you would be able to legally post those comic strips on Facebook is if you actually get permission from the authors. I did this a paper similar to this, where a person posted Dilbert comics on his website. The author sued the person, telling him to take the website down. - miniaturecobweb261 - 10-15-2012 09:29 PM Yes, it is illegal to post such things. You will have to acquire a geniune licenses from publisher for posting that content. - dannyboy9780 - 10-15-2012 09:29 PM yes it is illegal if you dont get permission from the author respect the law |
