internet connection sharing.....? - saibal k - 04-28-2014 07:35 PM Is it possible in win 98 host machine with two lan card can share internet connection win -xp client machine(without proxy) or if i make host machine xp with two lan can share in win 98 client machine. if yes then tell me the process. I will give best mark. - Taba - 04-28-2014 07:41 PM Yes you can share internet between a 98se, it must be 98 second edition, and a XP machine, but: 1) It would be easier if the Host was the XP machine and 2) No you cant do it without using a proxy. Windows XP has a built in proxy server called ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). That all said it, the internet connection will be more stable and faster if you would just purchase a cheap router and put that between the two computers and your broadband modem. |
