do you think this sentence/grammar is correct? (for speech presentation year-10)? - Dexus Boribor - 04-28-2014 07:48 PM

is this correct?i need to confirm this because english is not my native language and my understanding on english is still inferior.

and please if there are mistake, do not hesitate to correct/tell it

"are we ought to allow this to continue? i think not"
and also this:
"once again, another social media issue had ascend into the cyber-world."

and also how do i make this into speech?:

"but what started as fun had turned into funeral as a result of the demise of the 5 young people"

i wrote this but it turns out to be like a news report....
when i read it,it feels like im reporting about this issue (and not saying it as a speech). how do i make it like that is your opinion or how i say it in speech?

thats all thank you
and by the way

im terribly sorry if some of my grammar/sentence is erroneous.

my english skill is still inadequate

"are we ought to allow this to continue? i think not"
-Should we allow this to continue? I think not.
-Ought we allow this to continue? I think not.

"once again, another social media issue had ascend into the cyber-world."
-Once again, another social media issue has ascended into the cyber-world.

"but what started as fun had turned into funeral as a result of the demise of the 5 young people"

But what had started out as hours of fun, had turned into hours of unbearable funerals, as a result of the demise of the 5 young people.

or instead of 'as a result of the demise of the 5 young people' you could have 'due to the passing of the 5 young people' both make sense.

Hope this helps Smile
