Why host file option is not working for certain websites to be blocked? - Anna - 04-28-2014 07:49 PM

I want to block some websites and have tried to do this by using host file method (C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc). Almost, all the websites, for what i inputted in the note pad (host file) were blocked. However, certain websites were not blocked, for instance, http://www.tamil.thehindu.com).

How these website can escape from this method. What I have to do to block these websites. Please, Help me..

Thanking you in advance for your kind help.

# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each

# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
