he use to talk to me on my old phone but it got cut off so I bought a new one. He talked to me online while I didn't have it... Now that I got my new number he hasn't replied to my phone once?! only keeps replying online?! he just started talking... I think its weird?!

nah, maybe he likes doing it online more than text
Is it on facebook, if it is, I think I know why:
1) unlike texting, when msging over fb, you can see when the other person has seen it
2) you can see when the other person is typing

Maybe he lost ur number and doesnt want to admit it?? Or maybe he has just gotten used to talking to u online. if it bugs u that much then just call him instead of waiting for him to call you.
