I know i've sent these messages, but for a wierd reason, they aren't showing in my sent items.
any ideas?

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I sent messages, friends responded, but I had no record in my sent messages. I searched for some time, and didn't get any answers.
Finally out of frustration, I visited the facebook developer forum and found my answer there.
It has something to do with your security settings and cookies. Read for yourself.
