How to develop regular study habits? - shaz - 04-28-2014 08:29 PM

So, I had given up regular studies for over an year now, but I have board exams coming up in 4 months time and now, I really need to sit down daily and study. The problem though is that the habit is gone long. I am usually stuck with Facebook and stuff and when I sit to study, I feel cramped and want to get up.. Please help me with some advice.

Do you feel 'cramped and want to get up' when you are on 'Facebook and stuff' ?

Facebook is just trivial details of people's lives, for the most part.

Studying is your FUTURE.

It is how you can mold your future to be what you dream of. It is a way to make sure that you can earn good money to buy a nice house, for example. Can reading statuses on Facebook do that for you? No.

It really isn't that hard. Just turn off your computer for 2 hours a day, say from 3 PM to 5 PM (or whatever works for your schedule).

Show as much interest in your studies (your FUTURE) as you currently do in the mindless and anonymous internet social websites 'and stuff'.

No one will miss you if you are offline for 2 hours. You will not miss anything of any importance while you are offline.

However, if you choose to not study, you WILL fail those exams coming up in a mere 120 days, and you WILL (probably) regret the fact that you couldn't drag yourself away from social networking websites and stuff.

The choice ~ as always ~ is yours.

Change your mindset from one of "Studying is a CHORE."

to

"Learning is Interesting and FUN!"

and that will do wonders. Smile
