SEO stands for search engine optimization. SEO is used to tweak a website URL to be spider friendly and to index your website using meta-tags on major search engines like google and yahoo. The better your SEO the better your chances of being displayed at the front pages of search results.

SEO means search Engine optimization.When you search for some thing on Google there are many websites on the result page.Have you ever thought why this website is 1st on the page and the other website is on the last.This is because of SEO, which means making your site to be spidered by Google [means searched by Google and give you rank accordingly.]
Google sends outs its software called spiders that crawl over your website and rank you according to their algorithms.
SEO has these parts:
Keyword optimization
Meta tag optimization
On page optimization
Link building
and many more.
SEO is not one day job it will take you months if you don't have software that will get this work done. Hence many people outsource this job to other people at insane amount of money.
For the thumb downers I have seen projects of SEO and people bidding as high as $3000.Now if you convert that into Indian rupees it would be huge amount and hence I amount.
And this person is obviously Indian.
