Is 1GB of data enough for a smartphone (Galaxy S5)? - bevorkeng - 04-28-2014 08:47 PM

Do smartphones use data in the background? If so, would 1GB of data be enough for something like a Galaxy S5?

It does not uses once u have stored an app then may increase if that is a game then as u progress it will increase I think in today's world 1gb space is too low

That depends on how much you use. I have 2GB but I don't stream videos unless connected to wi-fi.

--------------- yes!

----------------- HELL NO!!!! Smartphones are constantly connected to the internet. When uyou poop, pee, sleep, eat, have sex, in your pocket, in your purse, driving... if the sucker is ON... its CONNECTED! I dont care if its an iphone, android, windows, or blackberry!

If you have a 1-4GB plan, normal facebook and websurfing will be ok.. But dont even freakin think about using media apps.

having 1GB of data is like telling a family of 4, "here is $1000 for the entire month-. Now go live off of that!"....... BUDGET WISELY! Use WIFI when ever you can! Turn off Cellular data too!

That depends on how much data you use. If you don't browse a lot OTA or download lots of apps OTA it should be fine. I recommend a data tracking app so you can see how much you use.
